Holding the record as the UK’s largest fresh water surface area loch is the Loch Lomond.

Loch Lomond has length of 24 miles, a width of 5 miles, and its depth is approximately six hundred feet.
There are about 38 islands on the Loch. A few are inhabited---one even has a hotel, the Inchmurrin.
Arguably, Loch Lomond may be the world’s best known Loch and plenty has been written about it in

both in verse and song. Renowned all over for its tranquility and beauty, Loch Lomond is a great place
